MAGNIFICENT BREAST STUPAS

Pinaree Sanpitak's art celebrates the female form.

Her grand sculptures of the so-called 'breast stupa’s' are astonishing. A very welcome, strong visual exploration of the body part that holds so much significance. For Pinaree, the breast stupa displays the female form in all its beauty, glory, sensuality, and, of course motherhood.

Sanpitak is known as one of the most influential artists in Southeast Asia for her outstanding artistic exploration of the human form in a way that has never been expressed before.

The Thai-born and raised artist began her studies in Japan and has traveled to numerous countries worldwide where she has continued her professional artistic career.

THIS DOESN'T FIT IN A FRAME

Artist Marcos Kuah is making impact in Europe and Southern Asia. Marcos Kuah's artworks are refined, they don't fit in any frame, and are ingrained with postcolonial references and imagery.

The Borneo-born artist Marcos Kueh is inspired by the dreams and myths of his ancestors. Something that’s undeniable present in his textile works. Traditional weaving techniques and textiles with various motifs are deeply rooted in his family’s culture.

The Malaysian Marcos has a background in graphic design and advertising, and discovered his passion and talent for working with textiles during his studies in the Netherlands.

Marcos Kuah is one of the Southeast Asian artists who is making a significant impact in contemporary art and the interior design world, far beyond traditional forms of art like drawing and painting.
