Anneloes is a Communications & Cultural Strategist with fifteen years of experience across Europe and Southeast Asia. She believes in a simple truth: art is not extra - it is essential infrastructure for a thriving society. Working at the intersection of culture, communications and public engagement, she helps organizations, cities and creative initiatives do work that reaches people, builds momentum and creates change.
She has shaped sustainability narratives for governments and industries, built the identity of major cultural events, co-founded Open Studios Penang - Malaysia's largest open studios festival - and grown leadership communities from small gatherings into movements. Her work moves between boardrooms, galleries and community halls. She believes that is where real change takes hold. She brings together people, ideas and institutions to create impact that extends well beyond the room.
A strategist, conceptual thinker and community builder - Anneloes bridges strategic rigor with creative vision. Too often arts and sustainability are sidelined as secondary, but she believes they belong at the center of a healthy society.
She holds a Master’s in Communications Science and Popular Culture from the University of Amsterdam, with a major in Media Studies completed at the University of Copenhagen.
Based in Penang. Working globally with cities, cultural organizations, foundations and purpose-driven brands.
